What If You Are Convicted of a Third or Subsequent DUI Violation?

If you're arrested for a third or more DUI, you will again be subject to bond conditions. The court will not release you on bond unless they can feel assured of the safety of the public. So that could be an ignition airlock device, which is a breath test on your car. It could be a scram device, which is an ankle bracelet which would monitor the alcohol that you would take. You also could be random drug screens and there is constant monitoring and tracking of you. Once you go to court, then you can work on trying to negotiate a plea bargain agreement on your case, have a trial if the DA agrees or have a preliminary hearing and take your case to a jury trial.
